Terms of Use

1. Introduction

Lam (the "app", "service", "we") is a space for keeping memories: private journaling, shared spaces with family or loved ones, and opt-in public diary entries on a slow, follow-only timeline. Lam is provided by the team operating Lam (the "operator"). By creating an account or using Lam, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Accounts

• You must meet the age requirement in Section 9 to use Lam.
• Sign-in uses a one-time code (OTP) sent to your email (no passwords).
• You provide accurate information and keep the mailbox you sign in with secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. Contact legal@laminthecloud.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Your content

• You own the content you create (entries, photos, comments).
• You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to store, back up, process, and display your content solely to operate the service for you (e.g. storing photos, generating previews, displaying entries you choose to make public). We do not sell your content and do not use it for advertising.
• You are responsible for what you post and confirm you have the right to post it.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to follow the Community Standards. We may remove content or restrict accounts that violate the Terms or Community Standards.

5. Private, shared, and public spaces

• Content is private by default.
• Shared spaces are visible only to members you invite; the "reader" role cannot write.
• Public entries apply only to personal spaces and are opt-in: you turn on public visibility per entry. When public, an entry may appear on your public profile and your followers' timeline. You can revert to private at any time.

6. Paid plans and payments

• Some features may require a paid plan. When applicable, price, billing cycle, and renewal terms are shown clearly before you pay.
• Payments are processed by a third party (e.g. SePay/VietQR). A refund policy will be published alongside the payments feature.
• Payments are not yet available in this version.

7. Storage and quota

Each user has a storage quota. When you reach it, you may need to delete content or upgrade to upload more.

8. Export and deletion

• Export: you can download a copy of your data anytime in the app; the export is usable without Lam.
• Account deletion: you can request deletion in the app. After you request it, the account enters a 30-day pending-deletion state (you may cancel during this window); after 30 days your personal data is permanently erased, except where the law requires retention. See the Privacy Policy.

9. Minimum age

Lam is for users aged 16 and over. Users under 16 may use Lam only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian as required by personal-data protection law. We do not knowingly collect data from children below this age.

10. Termination

You may stop using Lam and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate the Terms or Community Standards, or as needed to protect users and the service.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we limit our liability to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing here excludes liability that the law does not allow to be excluded.

12. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms. For material changes we will give reasonable notice (in app or by email) and update the effective date. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the update.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam. The parties will first seek to resolve disputes by good-faith negotiation; failing that, disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of Vietnam, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
